Functional Testing
Functional testing is designed to verify that the software functions exactly as designed. In addition to verifying the user interface of your application, to test all the underlying components and the databases that are contained within the application. Egression Testing
After the first round of testing is completed, regression testing needs to be performed to ensure that the reported errors are indeed fixed. Testing also needs to be performed to ensure that the fixes made to the application do not cause new errors to occur.

Automated Testing
As compare to Manual testing, automated testing reduces testing turnaround time and cuts costs of regression testing.
